Biography :

Tamara (Tammi) McGill-Carter’s expertise is in Neuro-anatomy and Neuroscience with a focus on the intricate workings of the Limbic and Memory systems. Her master’s thesis surrounds Human Memory and Encoding, detailing the fundamental changes that create as well as destroy memories. Tammi is currently is training in to become a licensed Neuropsychologist and is also finishing her final year of the Chicago School of Professional Psychology’s Educational Psychology and Technology doctorate program, due to graduate by next summer. Her dissertation’s focus centers on Autism, Theory of Mind, and Executive Functioning. Tammi’s expertise in neuro-anatomy further expanded while working with individuals with developmental disabilities/delays at several Home Health Agencies, which created several projects centering on how autism and developmental delays affect the brain. Tammi currently holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology from Indiana University Northwest in Gary and a Master’s of Arts degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, the concentration focus being Trauma and Crisis Intervention.

Prof. Emeritus Radu Mutihac is Chair of Medical Physics Section, University of Bucharest, and works in Neuroscience, Signal Processing, Microelectronics, and Artificial Intelligence. As postdoc/research associate/visiting professor/full professor, he run his research at the University of Bucharest, International Centre for Theoretical Physics (Italy), Ecole Polytechnique and Institut Henri Poincaré (France), KU Leuven (Belgium). Data mining and exploratory analysis of neuroimaging time series were addressed during two Fulbright Grants in Neuroscience (Yale University, CT, and University of New Mexico, NM, USA). His research in fused biomedical imaging modalities was carried out at the Johns Hopkins University, National Institutes of Health, and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, MD, USA.

DR. ALAIN L. FYMAT, PhD, PhD is a medical-physical scientist and an educator. He is the current President/CEO and Professor at the International Institute of Medicine & Science with a previous appointment as EVP/COO and Professor at the Weil Institute of Critical Care Medicine, California, U.S.A. He was formerly Professor of Radiology, Radiological Sciences, Radiation Oncology, Critical Care Medicine and Physics at several U.S. and European Universities. Earlier, he was Deputy Director (Western Region) of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (Office of Research Oversight). At the Loma Linda Veterans Affairs Medical Center, he was Scientific Director of Radiology, Director of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Center and, for a time, Acting Chair of Radiology. Previously, he was also Director of the Division of Biomedical and Biobehavioral Research at the University of California at Los Angeles/Drew University of Medicine and Science. He is also Health Advisor to the American Heart & Stroke Association, Coachella Valley Division, California. He is a frequent Keynote Speaker and International Organizing Committee member at several international scientific conferences. He has lectured extensively in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Africa. He has published ~ 425 scholarly scientific publications and books. He is also Editor-in-Chief, Honorable Editor or Editor of 54 scientific Journals. Dr. Fymat is a Board member of several institutions, a member of the New York Academy of Sciences and a reviewer for the prestigious UNESCO Newton Prize, United Kingdom National Commission for UNESCO.

Dr Koji Abe is 61 years old man and is currently Professor and Chairman of Neurology at Okayama University Medical School in Japan. He graduated Tohoku University School of Medicine (M.D.) and then got PhD title from Tohoku University under the direction of Professor Kyuya Kogure. Professor Koji Abe has been publishing more than 600 papers on cerebral blood flow and metabolism and neurodegenerative diseases. His research interests cover many important fields of neurology especially in the mechanism of ischemic brain damage, gene and stem cell therapy, neuroprotection, and neuroimaging. He is the past president of the International Society of Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism (CBFM) and organized World CBFM meeting in Osaka in 2007 and Japan-Asia CBFM meeting Okayama city in 2014. Mirela Olympia Fagarasan Palmer works in academia as an internationally recognized neuropharmacology and neuroimmunology researcher. Dr Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at University of Tennessee Health Science Centre, Memphis USA. Over the past 10 years, Dr Khan is working on regulation and resolution of neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration in experimental models of neurodegenerative diseases. His research investigates the molecular mechanisms that regulate inflammation in the central nervous system that are critical to our understanding of a broad spectrum of neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, Stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis and Dystonia and to discovering new treatments for these incurable diseases. Dr Khan has published more than 45 research articles in preclinical CNS models. His research work has been recognized both at national and international levels and has received over 2400 citation scores with h-index 29 by other scientists. Dr Khan’s works has been highlighted by Editorial commentary and captured by several electronic media. One of his research article has been featured as Most Cited Brain Research article. Dr Khan been served as Academic Editor for several manuscripts submitted for the peer review process. Responsibility

Delegates are personally responsible for their belongings at the venue. The Organizers will not be held responsible for any stolen or missing items belonging to Delegates, Speakers or Attendees; due to any reason whatsoever.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind.

Transportation

Please note that any (or) all transportation and parking is the responsibility of the registrant.

Press/Media

Press permission must be obtained from Allied academies Organizing Committee prior to the event. The press will not quote speakers or delegates unless they have obtained their approval in writing. The Allied academies are a non-profit organization. This conference is not associated with any commercial meeting company.

Requesting an Invitation Letter

For security purposes, letter of invitation will be sent only to those individuals who had registered for the conference. Once your registration is complete, please contact vasculardementia@neurologymeeting.com to request a personalized letter of invitation.

 

Regarding refunds, all bank charges will be for the registrant's account.

 Cancellation, Postponement and Transfer of Registration

All cancellations or modifications of registration must be made in writing to Program Manager.

Cancellation Policy

If Allied academies cancel this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied academies conferences event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.

Postponement

If Allied academies postpones an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied academies conferences event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.

Transfer of registration

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to Program Manager. Details must be included with the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of Allied academies if the person is unable to attend one of conferences.

However, Registration cannot be transferred if it is intimated within 14 days of respective conference.

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

Visa Information

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

Allied academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues cannot come under the consideration of cancellation policy of Allied academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.

Refund Policy:

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

Keeping in view of advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and other overheads, we had to keep Refund Policy is as following slabs-

  • Before 60 days of the conference: Eligible for Full Refund less $100 service Fee
  • Within 60-30 days of Conference: Eligible for 50% of payment Refund
  • Within 30 days of Conference: Not eligible for Refund
  • E-Poster Payments will not be refunded.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy:

Accommodation Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies, and they generally apply when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. Please contact us as soon as possible, if you wish to cancel or amend your accommodation. Allied academies will advise the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancelling or amending your booking, to ensure you are fully aware of any non-refundable deposits.
