Vascular brain changes often coexist with changes linked to other types of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease and dementia with Lewy body ’s. The stages incorporate early dementia, moderate dementia, and advanced dementia. The Vascular Dementia 2019 aims to prevent and effectively treat Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
